Hey dear followers and players, I’m Tale Master Zian, and I wanted to share something heartfelt with you today. I know the second update of Gladiator King came a little later than expected. That’s because we poured a lot of time and care into it — from designing new styles and refining the gameplay flow, to strengthening the story structure. We spent countless hours debating: ✨ How to handle the more intimate scenes, Where to best use the Live2D animations, Which parts should be AI-generated and which should shine through with hand-drawn art. All of this was done with one goal in mind — to make the story and storytelling even more powerful. This update still isn’t fully complete. Future fix patches will smooth out rough edges and expand unfinished storylines. ️ Now, a bit of personal news — I’ll be taking a short hiatus (around 1–1.5 months) as I begin my mandatory military service. ⚔ It’ll last about a year, but after the first month and a half, I should regain access to my computer. And when that happens, I’ll jump right back into development — continuing updates and crafting more of Gladiator King. I hope you enjoy this small but heartfelt piece of content. Q. Which AI model or App are you using? A. PonyDiffusion and PerfertPony. I am using ComfyUI. Q. Will there be any NTR, Cheating FMC, MC Cucking, Bestiality, FMC Rape, or Hardcore stuff with non-MC characters? A. Now and in the future, there won't be (I just don't like these kinds of stuff). Q. Why AI? Since you can draw, even if it's bad, I think it would be better to have your own drawings. A. You're right. Actually, I drew all the character and prop sketches by hand (except for the backgrounds), like the Sword and the Branding Stick. But I have no idea how to color them, and in my daily life I don't have the time or the skill to learn it. I don't look down on other artists. If I could afford it, I'd love to have the game drawn by artists whose style I admire. AI takes a tremendous load off my shoulders as the sole developer. Q. Is it a parody of Sword and Sandals? A. I can't say I wasn't inspired by it, yes. But it's not a parody. I plan to make my own original story and an original game with a combat system adapted in my own way. Q. What can we expect? Will it be all about combat? Will the game end when you become a champion? A. I can't fully answer that without spoilers. But becoming a champion is only one of multiple possible endings. Combat will definitely be an integral part of the game. Under the pressures of this noble society, you'll need help from certain people, like choosing the same faction. Q. Will there be incest? There was mention of a lost sister. A. I included it for story purposes, but I haven't made a decision about including incest yet. Q. You made a very basic Live2D; I wish you had done facial expressions and stuff. A. The classic breathing animation was easy to do, but breaking the sprite into layers for eye blinks, mouth movement, and head turns would have taken a lot of my time and energy. If demand increases and I can afford it, I would have Live2D artists separate everything layer by layer. In my dream, I want all characters to be able to move freely without limits. Q. Are tanlines and pubic hair customization exclusive to Tira? A. Yes, they will be available for other characters too. For now, the feature is only implemented for Tira, but future updates will add these options to other characters depending on their individual concepts. Q. Okay, I have a question... A.
