Canticle by Void Mammoth opens with an invitation: "Brother, I extend to you an invitation to join the Lucent Priory as our newest scribe. The Cantor has selected you from many worthy souls." You'll work with skilled arcanists to create the next great Incantation - a powerful tome of magic crafted by many minds together - while studying various scholarly fields.
Built in Ren'Py as a fantasy RPG with religion as worldbuilding spine, the game runs point & click navigation, puzzle elements, and character creation at the start. Other new Brothers join as the cohort adjusts to priory life.
Expect ai cg, animated, big ass, big tits, gay routes, graphic violence, interracial, mobile-game UX, oral sex and romance content threaded into a monastic-academia setup where the Incantation, the brothers, and the tests all run on the same axis.

NOTE: There is one scene that has not been finalized yet (the writing part only; the art is there already). It will be included in its entirety in the Scribe release.
A good part of the update are scenes unlockable only to playthroughs in which the MC has romanced Orson and/or (to a lesser extent, but significant) Rehan. I have a feeling only a tiny fraction of players did not actively pursue the Prior, but if one of them is you, you might want to consider giving it a try for this update in particular.
Even though this update encompasses the first day, as in earlier Chapters, the elective scenes you can do in the mornings and afternoons will be added progressively through various updates, and so the current update is not representative of everything you will be able to do on Chapter 4 Mountainsday.
11 new CGs, both static and animated.
The Revelations gallery will be added in the Scribe release.

Hotfix 3/1:
Fixed a bug where the game would think you had Soren arrested no matter what. This bug was at the beginning of the Saheilan service section in Chapter 3. So, if you are planning to romance Soren in Chapter 4, you will need to replay this section again.
Fixed a graphical bug affecting some MC models in a CG in Chapter 4.
Fixed a graphical bug affecting MCs possessing the Bravery skill in some playthroughs.

Make sure to try out the optional scenes with some of the novices, and if you have time, play through again with different decisions. Some innocuous scenes branch in this one.

One of the scenes from the art sneak peek is missing and has been moved to the Scribe update on December 14th. It's just not done yet the way I want it to be. Library boy lovers, it's gonna be 2 more weeks.

At the beginning of the game, there is a character customization process, which lets you choose between three characters models:
You will also be able to customize your character's backstory, which will affect the skills your character has, and many of the dialog options in the game. In the screenshot below, the character has access to the Bravery skill, but not the Larceny or Pathfinding skills required for some of the dialog options.
The game features animated character sprites and backgrounds.
